About Me

Background 2 Background 1 Brian Chan

I'm Brian Chan, a passionate and driven individual from Hong Kong. At 15, I moved to the UK to pursue my studies, embracing new challenges and opportunities for growth. For over nine years , I’ve volunteered with Scouts and Caritas both overseas and in the UK, developing strong leadership, teamwork, and community values.

My commitment to sustainability and innovation inspired my choice to study at the University of Southampton, where the MEng Mechanical Engineering with Sustainable Energy Systems perfectly aligned with my ambitions—and I knew it was the path I wanted to pursue.

Cool class I've taken recently:
German A2, Bonsai Workshop, Tap Dance

About Brian
As artificial intelligence continues to reshape the job market, I believe it’s important to become a well‑rounded individual — someone who is adaptable, versatile, and eager to learn across disciplines. This website reflects that philosophy. It showcases my projects, my creativity in marketing through portrait editing, my communication skills through blogging, and my ability to present and sell my skillset to future clients.
While volunteering in Namibia to help restore the habitat of desert elephants, I saw how heat and environmental stress affect both wildlife and communities. That experience drives me to focus on sustainable engineering that makes a real impact.
I am making it a practice to say yes to opportunities, as I am convinced that each individual and experience has something to teach me. My focus will be on continuous growth, I’ll remain open to new perspectives and challenges, because I believe that mindset is the key to unlocking my full potential.
Complete the WMM Seven Star Journey by running all seven iconic marathons: Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York and Sydney. This journey is not only about the runs — it reflects the same qualities I bring to life: long‑term commitment, resilience, and consistent effort.
I usually recharge by running to prepare the upcoming marathon and spending time outdoors. Lately, I’ve also been experimenting with cooking dishes from different countries, which has been a fun way to share meals with friends and a practical alternative to eating out during this cost‑of‑living crisis.
